Mission
To contribute to the welfare of people, especially
the least advantaged, by assisting in optimal
application of the market mechanism and in the
making of good governance so that development
is equitable, peaceful, co-operative and sustainable.
The Foundation
is able to offer assistance in a broad range of
areas including:
- Guidance in the establishment of (or effective
operation of) regulatory frameworks including
development of appropriate regulatory structures
and programs for the implementation of law;
- Guidance in the establishment of regulatory
institutions;
- Enhancement of the skills of institutions
with law enforcement responsibilities by conducting
country specific and general training courses;
- Provision of access, on an ongoing basis,
to technical skills, guidance manuals and training
programs associated with law enforcement;
- Assistance and advice on the conduct of investigations;
- Advice on governance systems in the private
and public sectors;
- Development of compliance programs to satisfy
regulatory regimes;
- Development and assessment of complaint handling
and case and project management schemes;
- Guidance in the development of civil society
to participate in effective public policy formulation
or market rulemaking; and
- Development of industry self-regulation and
co-regulation regimes.
